I am 51 years young and a busy Mom of triplet boys, age 7. I love skydiving, kayaking, bowling, biking and working out, weight training being my favorite form of exercise. Adopting a fitness lifestyle has changed the course of my life
I have flirted with exercise, fitness and healthy eating throughout the years, never fully committing to any one thing I’ve tried all the diet quick fixes like Cambridge, Atkins, grapefruit, Master cleanse, low fat, no fat, low carb, no carb…. I’ve participated in many of the exercise trends such as Jazzercise, aerobics ,step, spinning, Stairmaster, ab roller, stationary biking and even had a thigh master……all with varying short-lived degrees of success (and failure).
Then, 1 day I woke up. I realized that after years of cultivating less than healthy habits and all the while become increasingly sedentary and dissatisfied with my appearance that it was time to make some serious changes. I wasn’t in anywhere near the kind of shape I needed to be in to live the kind of life I wanted not just for myself but my children so, I hired a personal trainer and got started on my journey.
Like an epiphany, I finally accepted and embraced the truth that if I wanted to look and feel great, have the energy and stamina to keep up with my boys and pursue my dreams, then I needed to incorporate exercise and sound nutrition into my life on a daily basis.
So, I hired a personal trainer and got started on my journey With the guidance, motivation and support that I received from several trainers and mentors I was able to achieve and surpass my goals, paving the way for my own self motivation and long term adherence. These accomplishments have restored my confidence and self esteem and made me a stronger and better person, inside and out. That I look better than ever and feel sexy again is just icing on the cake! Needless to say, I am completely passionate about working out and the benefits of exercise I believe that a consistent fitness regime will positively impact ANYONE’s LIFE!
Becoming a personal trainer was my way to channel all things positive from my journey and put my passion into action. Playing a role, directly or indirectly in helping someone become more healthy and fit and ultimately changing their life is as rewarding as it gets.
